Leisure and recreation

Various associations are open to travellers and tourists during their stay in Gréoux-les-Bains. So why not devote your free time to your favourite pastime or try a new activity: creative activities, dance, theatre, yoga, etc.  

‘Temps Libre du Verdon’ Activities

This association organises 11 different activities with professional instructors: gymnastics, hiking, creative workshops, dance, theatre, computing, aqua-gym (extra fee), etc. Open to everyone from 50 years and over.  Yearly registration fee. ‘Loisirs Activité Convivialité’ Association

This association offers a range of fun activities and is open to everyone from 18 onwards:  Qi Gong for beginners, stretching, gymnastics, cooking, family trees, creative workshops, aqua-gym, picnics, evening outings, etc. Fee for temporary members: €12. Quilting

Gréoux quilting club

Meetings are held every Monday and Friday from 3 – 6 pm. Learn to quilt the authentic Provencal way. Bring a thimble and embroidery scissors if possible. The course costs €20 (supplies included) during which you will make your first piece. Meeting place in the Roches Bleues room (former crèche) at the Morelon Park.

Quilting, Provencal & Marseillais piqué stitching, pearl embroidery, ribbon embroidery, Hardanger embroidery, fine Cilaos embroidery, egg shell decorating, Pergamano, sand paintings and Tiffany stained glass. Every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 2 – 6 pm in the main room next to the cinema. Cost: €20 or more depending on the technique.

Watercolour painting courses

‘Au fil des pierres’ workshop

‘Tartine et Cie’ pottery

Discover the earthy arts by taking beginner lessons in pottery and ceramic decorating.
Every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 – 6 pm at the workshop, 455 avenue Jean Moulin. Fee: €100 per week, equipment included. Registration one week ahead. Jewellery making on Saturday from 2 – 6 pm, fee: €50 including equipment.

Music workshop

Country dancing

The association gives beginner lessons in the Casino every Tuesday at 6:30 pm. It also organises country dancing and line dancing courses.

Escapades and photography for beginners

Francoise Lely, professional photographer, will teach you the basics in photography during an escapade called ‘Liberate your creativity by mastering the technique’.

Reiki massages

The ‘Reiki et Harmonie’ Association aims at introducing Reiki to as many people as possible. Courses, private sessions, free meetings for sharing and swapping information.
